Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Manuscript must be written with Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5-spaced and with left aligning text in A4 Microsoft Word documents. The margin is 3 cm of each side.; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

ASDA Journal accepts research manuscripts, literature reviews, case studies, and other forms of scientific manuscripts that meet substantive and technical criteria related to the topics of dry-land agricultural management, agribusiness, agricultural extension, agricultural sociology, agricultural economics, agricultural development, agricultural marketing, communication agriculture, rural development, supply chain and agricultural logistics. ASDA Journal accepts manuscript submissions in Indonesian or English. All review and publication processes for manuscripts are carried out based on the OJS application.

Authors must be registered and have their own account with ASDA Journal before starting the manuscript submission process. If the manuscript has more than one Author, then all the Authors must be registered first before starting the manuscript submission process. One Author appointed as Corresponding Author must ensure that he has registered a complete and correct email and official correspondence address.

Authors must ensure that manuscripts submitted to ASDA Journal are manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not in the process of being published (or have received an explanation from the publisher's editorial team) in other publishers. Authors/authors agree that any manuscript approved for publication on ASDA is the subject of a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 license.

The quality of each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by the editor and bestari partners. Editors will assess accepted manuscripts according to the following criteria:

  • The purpose and scope of the submitted manuscript has been clearly stated,
  • The methodology is adequately described and uses scientifically relevant methodologies,
  • Research results that have not been published before,
  • Conclusions must be supported by the data shown,
  • Manuscripts are well written and logical.

Each manuscript submitted will be reviewed by at least two review partners with a Double Blind Review system. Manuscripts accepted or rejected will consider the following aspects:

  • The topic of the manuscript is in accordance with the scope outlined by the ASDA Journal,
  • Meet the publication criteria/standards especially those set out in this guideline,
  • Research contributions to communities in dry-land agriculture management, agribusiness, agricultural extension, agricultural sociology, agricultural economics, agricultural development, agricultural marketing, agricultural communications, rural development, supply chain and agricultural logistics.

Manuscripts that are accepted or rejected will be notified to the Author via email or within OJS.

Authors publishing in the ASDA Journal agree to the following terms:

  1. The author retains copyright and grants the journal the right of first publication with the work being simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License which allows others to share the work with acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors may enter into separate additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published journal version of the work, with acknowledgment of initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online before and during the submission process, as this can result in a productive exchange, as well as earlier and larger citations of the published work.
