Respon Kelompok Tani Fenun Tentang Teknik Pengendalian Hama Terpadu Lalat Buah Pada Tanaman Cabai Rawit Di Desa Baumata Kecamatan Taebenu Kabupaten Kupang

Abstract

The goal of this study is to see how the Fenun farmer group reacts to the integrated pest control strategy for fruit flies on cayenne pepper, as well as the impact of internal and external factors on farmers knowledge and attitudes. The briefing and demonstration methods were employed as extension methods in this study. Scoring, paired sample t-test, and Spearman Rank correlation (r_s) are the analytical methods employed. According to the findings of the scoring analysis, there was a difference in farmers knowledge and attitudes before and after extension. Response to knowledge: 1) Prior to therapy, knowledge was in the high category (2.34); after counseling, knowledge was still in the high group, but the value had changed to (2.70). 2) Prior to counseling, understanding was in the medium category (2.14), but after counseling, it was in the high category (2.15). (2.70). 1) Before therapy, receiving was in the category of doubt (2.19), but after counseling, it was in the category of receiving (2.75). 2) Prior to therapy, respondents were in the dubious category (2.33), but after counseling, they were in the receiving category (2.78). Internal factors (education and length of farming) have a significant and moderate relationship with farmers knowledge, while external factors (complexity and suitability) have a significant and moderate relationship with farmers knowledge, according to the results of the Spearman Rank correlation test (r_s). Internal characteristics (age, length of farming experience, and land area) have a moderate to substantial link with farmer attitudes. External influences (complexity) have a large and considerable impact on farmer attitudes
